On-demand workers, more and more popular

Nowadays, on-demand work is becoming more and more popular and is very accessible thanks to new technologies. Just pull out your cell phone to find a cab, a place to sleep, order food and now even find a worker for tasks in your home with JobFlash. Whether it's AirBnB rentals, Uber cabs, SkipTheDishes deliveries, Etsy sales, dog walking, or various freelance or contract work, more than one in ten Canadians (13%) report participating in the on-demand economy in 2021 according to a recent survey commissioned by H&R Block .

Nearly 3% of Canadians have done on-demand work since the beginning of the pandemic due to their financial situation and the lack of jobs. In addition, almost 35% of Canadians in this survey say they would be interested in starting on-demand work full-time or as a second source of income. Demand has been increasing since the beginning of the pandemic as people had more time and were less able to travel. Nearly one in three people in the U.S. also say they have adopted on-demand status.

The "gig economy" is definitely a growing phenomenon that is not going to stop. JobFlash was born to meet this demand and to help people with their daily tasks.
